I actually had a good shift! The regular staff CNA tried it telling the DSd assistant that I had her assignment and she said she was going home so the D.o.n told her that's fine but it's abandonment of the resident and she changed her time! Shout out for the nurses not playing favoritism and giving me the worst assignment because I'm registry!✊🏿

Paying a CNA at 17 dollars, they are crazy for God. Where is the respect for our work. The Nursing Homes are working for us, the CNAs. That they value our work more. Don't work here!!! For 17 dollars !!!!!!

It's a shame that they are paying $17, what kind of place is this, for the love of God CNA's don't degrade yourselves by working for this misery, we have education, we invest money and valuable time of our lives. We don't deserve to be insulted in this way, without CNA a nursing home can't exist.
Trust me I get 25 and above when they have have a negotiation going. And I know what you think they won’t pay that but when it comes down to it they pay and instead of working 5 days you can work 3 and have more time for the real important things. Family, school, what ever it is and soon you will understand the difference of making wise choices and settling for what ever they want and in the end your license is on the line for what 17 bucks please my momma didn’t raise no fool.

Minimum is 26 we in 2024 plus we need to stand strong. We may not have a union but even washing our clothes is like 15 buck if you lucky some of us don’t live with family and trying to make a living. Just saying think as a unit not as a singular.

18$ an hour do better! That rate is professionally ridiculous. If that’s all you can offer might as well shut down as a facility. Remember we don’t get taxed so we’re making even less than 18$
