12 Vent/Trach patients for 1 nurse. Limited supplies ; administrative staff act like physicians with no knowledge of medical procedures. No support from the nurse manager or DON; also they post shifts without mentioning the vent unit. I do not recommend; if your subacute ; it’s okay but that vent unit stay away from it. Unless they paying $50 per hr or more ; actually it should be for RNs only with a safer nurse to patient ratio.

everytime i come here , it’s a different in house CNA who has different rules. The nurses and in house staff get mad when they have to give you a report but i’m agency and worked here 3 times why would i remember your patients specifically lol? the supervisor on the second floor lets the CNA’s run her .. they argue and she makes excuses for their behaviors ! you always have to go up and down the stairs because they never have anything but want you to get people up before breakfast. honestly request to be downstairs.

Worked on vent 8 patients. Very busy with bolus, blood sugars, alarms. It’s all nursing and I enjoyed it although it was busy. Staff was very helpful so was the respiratory therapist.

I worked day shift on the vent unit. The Cna's and The RT was great, but I would never work there again it was horrid. Nothing can make that unit better! Enter at your own risk!!!!
