It was okay. The med tech and 1 other caregiver were pretty nice and helpful for the most part, but the administrator was kind of rude at the start and threatened to send me home because I made it verbally known that I needed help changing a patient with c-diff that was just out of the blue sprung on me. She complained because I wasn’t “fast” enough but when I asked for help nobody came. Beds don’t move/have rails because they are regular beds, so I have a bad back ache from having to transfer so many people so often. EVERYONE gets up out of bed. Which means you have to transfer them BY YOURSELF from bed to chair, chair to toilet x3, and chair to bed which is very physically demanding. Would return but for higher pay.

And diaper changes of corse .
Yes CNA and caregivers do everything, med techs are useless and do not assist with putting prs into bed even if they are heavy and 2 person assist!!

Also for NOC yes you will have a couple people to get up @ 5/6 am and maybe a shower or so but it is NOT HARD. It’s way more chill compared to a SNF environment. The residents have nice home like rooms. I only did two loads of laundry. Just do your job and be respectful you won’t have problems. :)

Why as NOC are we taking showers and doing get up when it’s only 2 of us? You trying to justify it is crazy and why these facilities think they can get over on us!
EXACTLY early am showers are nuts!!

The administrator is very rude to the patients. Yelled at them and neglected their rights to leave the activity room because everyone is obligated to stay there. She also yelled at the confused patient that was being rude (she’s confused) and placed her in the middle of the hallway away from everyone else.. like a time out. She also forced the pills down the patients who had refused them. She is very toxic and doesn’t deserve the title of administrator

Was she rude to you? She knows the patients. Sometimes you have to talk loud so they can hear you especially if they are hard of hearing amd argumentative. Combative patients have to be removed from around other patients in the activity room until they calm down. How long have you been a CNA? Just make sure youre nice to your co workers
