1)Arrived early 10:49 pm. No registry staff received an assignment until after 1am. No regular staff or registry staff were on the floor checking patients until after 1:00 am. 2) I requested my password for POC charting at 1:00am and password was received after 5:00am during patient care for me to complete charting for15 assigned patients before leaving at 7 am. I informed them that was not going to be possible. I was instructed to stop patient care at 6:30 am and chart. I wasn't comfortable with that because I would not complete charting by 7:00 a.m. Also, patient care would be incomplete before charting. They offered to pay 30 minutes overtime but my schedule did not allow me to stay. I have other responsibilities at 7am. 3) Not enough appropriate linen for NOC shift. 4) Patients care in green zone not properly cared for.

This industry isn't a piece of cake, so I expect it to be challenging. It shows who has staying power. Especially if you are planning on going to the next level. When times get tough, I just think about the fact that we will all be in the residence position some day. I just did my job the best of my ability, made sure that my people were properly taken care of and want home to my family. Knowing that I did my best. I'm always thankful for the opportunity.

the RN didnt know how to set an assignment for me and 2 other CNAs from the registry. She took a whole hour to assign us with an assignment. She also told me that there were no more diapers like as if I worked there. overall, it was okay and 1 CNA helped showed me around.
