Good shift, pretty straightforward. PCC system, pleasant staff, very helpful. Not heavy on meds.

FACTS! It's crazy. It should be ILLEGAL to have that type of ratio. You are literally passing medications the ENTIRE shift. I tend to work "slow" to some people, but that is because I am thorough and like to make sure I address all needs for each patient. This is hard to do when you have 32+ patients to care for by yourself. It's set up in a way where you cannot really take any shortcuts like giving all the meds at once. With 12 hour shifts, you have to pass most medications 3 different times. I mean you gotta think first shift is generally breakfast and lunch with passing medications twice but with 12 hour shift it's breakfast, lunch, AND dinner which means 3 different med passes on top of whatever issues may arise during the shift. It's EXTREMELY overwhelming, not enough staff, not enough supplies, the whole shebang. They should pay more money for all that work, I mean you really are rolling the dice with your license. Not worth it.
Thanks for the detailed heads up!
