*\*\*\*\*LOOKING FOR EXCEPTIONAL NURSES WHO CAN MULTITASK, HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL, WARM, CARING WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL GIVING 120% TO PATIENT EXPERINECE\*\*\*\** *Shift* Day shifts *Description* Outpatient office based practice in need of a registered nurse on an as needed basis to pre-op and recover patients post moderate sedation procedures. Must have post-op experience taking care of patients. Most patients recovering from angiogram type procedures. Experience with interventional radiology procedures preferred but not required. *Duties* * Knowledge and experience with administering of IV and IM drugs and their possible adverse reactions. * Competent with patient evaluation, physical assessment, and interviewing techniques. * Recognizes, documents, and assists in the treatment of contrast reactions. * Knowledge and experience with conscious sedation medications and their reversal agents. * Knowledge and demonstrated skill using special equipment such as monitors, O2 equipment, SPO2 monitors, etc. * Interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias. * Knowledge of diagnostic tests and their preparations. * Prep patients for procedures (meds, IV etc). * Charting patient information * Examining the patient before and after the procedure * Assist with procedures * Respond to emergencies * Provide discharge information *Qualifications* *Minimum Education: *Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. *Minimum Experience: *12 months recent experience in recovering patients post surgery. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment. *Req. Certification/Licensure: *Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California required. AHA Basic Life Support and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
