Want to make a difference in an individual's life? Better Living (BL) is recruiting caregivers interested in working with and caring for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our clients are diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and developmental delay. We have clients ages 3 to 53. We allow parents and family members to take a break, relax, run errands, or work, while our caregivers keep their children engaged in safe, fun, and functional activities in the client's homes. Do you have any availability in your schedule? If so, you can choose the number of hours per week, starting at 4 hours and maxing out at 40 hours. Most client schedules are Monday thru Friday. We do have weekend shifts you can add anytime to your schedule. *FLEXIBILITY:* - *Flexible Schedule:* BLoffers flexible scheduling that adjusts to your availability. Let us know when you can work, and we will work on matching you with individuals looking for services during those times. - *Flexible Locations: *We serve all of San Gabriel Valley allowing you to work within your surrounding community. *PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH:* - *In-House Training: *Training sessions are provided to you free of charge by BL. - *Promoting from Within: *Opportunity to learn and apply to BL administrative and office positions before openings become public for all. BL has provided in-home services for adults and children with developmental disabilities, such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Developmental Delay, throughout *San Gabriel Valley *for over five years. Our caregivers primary job is to provide care for clients in their homes. Services include the following activities: coaching, mentoring, supervising, training, light meal preparation, assisting with behavior programs, assisting with homework and language programs, and taking walks - as well as any other means of interaction with the client, such as playing board games, reading to each other, or simply conversing. Caregivers are also responsible for cleaning up after activities or assisting the child/children and/or adult in the cleanup. This type of job is best for caring, positive and patient individuals who desire to work with children and adults with developmental disabilities.
