*Our Agency* is looking for a compassionate and dedicated *Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) *to join our team in *Downey and surrounding areas.* Our Agency services *adult and geriatric clients* on a *per-visit basis* in territories throughout *Los Angeles County, Orange County, and Kern County.* One year of prior clinical experience as a licensed LVN in Home Health is required. Licensed Vocational Nurse provides practical nursing skills within the scope of nursing practice standards in collaboration with RN case managers/supervisors and teaches and educate patients and their families according to the established professional plan of care. Licensed Practical nursing is performed under the supervision of the assigned RNs, Administrator, and Director of Patient Care Services Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our healthcare team. Duties: - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians - Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients' conditions - Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans - Educate patients and their families on healthcare topics, including disease management and preventive care - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records - Adhere to infection control standards to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients - Provide acute pain management and suture care as needed - Assist with pain management techniques - Experience working with children is preferred Requirements: - Valid LVN license in the state of California - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Knowledge of airway management techniques - Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills - Wound Care Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Contract Pay: $55.00 per hour Medical Specialty: * Geriatrics * Home Health * Wound Care Work Location: On the road
