*Job Overview* Join our dedicated team as a Home Care Aide (CNA Study Opportunity), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in their homes and community settings. This position is ideal for aspiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or healthcare students eager to build their expertise in a supportive environment. *Responsibilities* * Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. * Observe and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance. * Support medication administration and remind clients of medication schedules following established protocols. * Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques and behavioral management. * Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and hospice support as directed by supervising nurses. * Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding to promote optimal health and well-being. * Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to ensure clients’ comfort and safety. * Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams using EMR systems to update medical records and document care activities thoroughly. *Experience* * Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. * Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus. * Knowledge of medical terminology, CPR certification, and dementia or Alzheimer's care techniques is preferred. * Familiarity with long-term care practices, hospice care support, and working with patients requiring memory or hospice care enhances your candidacy. * Demonstrated ability to handle patient observation accurately while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. * Previous exposure to EHR or EMR systems for medical documentation is advantageous. * Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
