This position is ideal for aspiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or healthcare students eager to build their expertise in a supportive environment. *Responsibilities* * Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. * Observe and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance. * Support medication administration and remind clients of medication schedules following established protocols. * Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques and behavioral management. * Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and hospice support as directed by supervising nurses. * Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding to promote optimal health and well-being. * Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to ensure clients’ comfort and safety. * Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams using EMR systems to update medical records and document care activities thoroughly. *Experience* * Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. * Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus. * Knowledge of medical terminology, CPR certification, and dementia or Alzheimer's care techniques is preferred. * Familiarity with long-term care practices, hospice care support, and working with patients requiring memory or hospice care enhances your candidacy. * Demonstrated ability to handle patient observation accurately while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. * Previous exposure to EHR or EMR systems for medical documentation is advantageous. * Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
