*Job details: * *Registered Nurse (RN) – CVOR* *St. Mary Medical Center – Long Beach, CA 90813* *Contract – 13 Weeks* *Full-Time | 10-Hour Day Shifts | 40 Guaranteed Hours* *Job Summary* We are seeking an experienced *Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)* to join our surgical team on a 13-week contract. The CVOR RN will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment. *Key Responsibilities* * Provide circulating nurse support in cardiovascular surgical procedures * Assist with cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy * Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team members * Ensure proper documentation using Cerner/SurgiNet EMR system * Maintain sterile technique and adherence to OR protocols * Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage as required * Float within OR specialties when needed *Schedule & Shift Details* * 10-hour day shifts * 40 hours guaranteed per week * Weekend coverage required (EOW rotation) * On-call required with 30-minute response time * Holiday coverage required * First to float within OR specialties *Required Qualifications* * Minimum 2 years of CVOR or OR nursing experience * Active RN license * Current *BLS and ACLS certifications* * BSN not required * Strong experience in cardiovascular OR procedures preferred *Unit Highlights* * 1 CVOR suite * Approx. 2 cases per week * 2 circulators per case * Cerner / SurgiNet EMR system * Scrubbing not required (preferred) * Charge RN assigns daily staffing * Scrubs provided Pay: $3,500.00 - $3,800.00 per week Experience: * CVOR: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: * BLS Certification (Required) * ACLS Certification (Required) * RN License (Required) Work Location: On the road
