GLOBAL HOME HOSPICE SERVICE INC is looking for a Full Time Licensed Vocational Nurse, a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. The team is looking for a dedicated individual with a passion for care and values honesty and commitment. *Responsibilities:* * Provides direct patient care as defined in the California State Nurse Practice Act * Implements current nursing practices following a comprehensive assessment and the plan of care. * Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of care. * Participates in coordination of hospice services, appropriately reporting the identified needs to the interdisciplinary group. * Uses equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently. * Calls the Medical Director if there is a new order for medications. * Writes the doctor's order and order the medication from the Pharmacy. * Attends crisis calls/visits any time of the day. * LVN will only have a minimum load so that he/she can attend crisis visits after hours or anytime of the day. *Requirements:* * Graduated from an accredited Vocational Nurses Program. * Hospice experience preferred. * Currently licensed as a LVN in the State of California. * Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organizational skills. * CPR * California Driver's License * Auto Insurance * Understands philosophy of the hospice concept.
