About the Role This is a high-impact, patient-facing clinical role in a Class III medical device environment, where your expertise will directly support patients receiving the world’s most advanced mechanical circulatory support. As a Field Clinical Specialist, you will be the frontline clinical resource at implanting centers, bridging nursing practice, patient education, and cutting-edge MCS technology to help move us closer to transforming the lives of patients with end-stage heart failure. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized clinical nursing support for patients receiving mechanical circulatory support Deliver patient and family education on device management, alarm response, and discharge protocols Train nursing staff at implanting centers in MCS patient care competencies Collaborate with clinical and engineering teams to develop and review patient management protocols Participate in patient assessment and post-operative follow-up in conjunction with the medical team Support the development of nursing-focused educational content for the LMS platform What You Bring Registered Nurse with current licensure; Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent degree preferred Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cardiac surgery, cardiology, or critical care nursing Prior exposure to mechanical circulatory support (VAD, ECMO, or TAH) strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver clinical education programs for multidisciplinary audiences Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex clinical concepts for patients, families, and staff Can-do attitude — big-picture thinking — strong teamwork and communication Willingness to travel regularly to implanting center sites; flexibility for on-call clinical support Experience with LMS platforms or digital learning content development is an advantage What We Offer BiVACOR offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including: 401(k) with company matching Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Life insurance & Employee Assistance Program Generous paid time off This is a field-based role with regular travel to implanting centers across the US and internationally. The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 to $155,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
