Introduction: Family Ties Home Care has a client in Malibu who is recovering from a stay in rehab facility and needs morning help with transfer out of bed, toileting, grooming and breakfast. Lives with wife who could use a little help around the house with him and possibly allow her to run any needed errands while Caregiver is there. Why Family Ties Home Care: Family Owned Personal attention & communication with managers Competitive pay Training via Care Academy (credential training including CNA courses) Bi-weekly pay (direct deposit) Paid sick time Health insurance available (medical, dental & vision) Holiday pay (major holidays) at 1.5x Cal-Savers IRA plan available Veterans approved company Responsibilities: Following a pre-set care plan Standard ADLs (personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene assistance) Assist with medication reminders Monitor and report on client's well-being Light housekeeping, laundry, & other household daily chores as needed Grocery shopping & errands Cooking/meal preparation Scheduling appointments, including doctor's Communication with Family Ties HC management & family members/loved-ones regarding the client's daily status Daily notes Other duties assigned as needed Qualifications: Current HCA or higher certification Caregiving experience of 1 year or similar experience Compassionate and caring demeanor Excellent communication & interpersonal skills Ability to follow the pre-set care plan and medication schedule Ability to lift 35 pounds Ability to assist with client's mobility as needed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work the schedule as described Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
