*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented RN Compliance Specialist to oversee and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and standards within our organization. *The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare compliance, including HIPAA privacy rules, CPT coding, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems, Medicare requirements, cms and FDA regulations. *As an integral part of our compliance team, you will lead efforts to maintain regulatory standards, support audit processes, and promote a culture of compliance across clinical operations. *Your expertise will help safeguard patient information, optimize coding accuracy, and uphold accreditation standards such as JCAHO.* *Duties* * Review and monitor clinical documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy rules and confidentiality standards. * Conduct audits of medical records for accuracy in CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding, and overall billing practices in accordance with Medicare guidelines. * Collaborate with clinical staff to implement policies that align with FDA regulations and other applicable healthcare laws. * Assist in preparing for regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys by maintaining comprehensive compliance documentation. * Provide ongoing education and training to staff on compliance requirements, including updates to ICD coding systems and Medicare policies. * Support the development and maintenance of internal compliance management systems to track adherence metrics and identify areas for improvement. * Stay current with changes in healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards, HIPAA updates, and new ICD coding guidelines to ensure organizational practices remain compliant. *Skills* * Extensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy and data security. * Proficiency in CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems, and Medicare billing procedures. * Familiarity with FDA regulations impacting healthcare products and services. * Strong understanding of healthcare compliance management frameworks and best practices. * Experience supporting JCAHO accreditation processes and maintaining compliance documentation. * Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing clinical records and billing data. * *Effective communication skills for training staff, conducting audits, and reporting findings clearly.
