Job Title: RCFE Caregiver Location: San Gabriel, CA 91775 Job Type: Part-Time Shift Available: Weekends Night Shift *About Us* Henrietta’s Home is a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment. We are seeking a composed, independent Night Caregiver to serve as a calming presence and a vigilant guardian for our residents. You will manage the unique flow of the night shift—from handling emergencies with a level head to providing compassionate support for residents experiencing nighttime confusion. *Responsibilities* * *Proactive Night Watch:* Conduct regular rounds and safety checks to ensure a secure, tranquil environment throughout the night. * *Emergency Leadership:* Act as the primary responder to urgent situations, utilizing sound judgment and a calm demeanor to manage crises efficiently. * *Incident Management:* Navigate high-pressure moments with a steady hand, ensuring resident safety and following facility protocols without immediate oversight. * *Behavioral Support:* Compassionately manage nighttime restlessness, confusion, or wandering, using redirection techniques to help residents feel safe and grounded. * *Attentive ADL Assistance:* Provide gentle, dignified support for nighttime needs, including repositioning, hygiene, and toileting, to promote skin integrity and comfort. * *Clinical Observation:* Monitor residents for subtle changes in condition, ensuring that any physical or mental shifts are identified and addressed. * *Independent Ownership:* Thrive in a self-directed environment, managing tasks and priorities effectively with minimal supervision. * *Detailed Documentation:* Maintain precise logs and shift reports to ensure a seamless "data bridge" for the incoming morning staff. * *Environmental Stewardship:* Execute light housekeeping and facility upkeep to ensure the community is clean, organized, and ready for the day ahead. * *Professional Hand-Offs:* Communicate critical updates and observations to management and the morning shift to maintain continuity of care. *Qualifications* * Must be at least 18 years old. * High school diploma or GED (Preferred). * RCFE Certification or Caregiver Training (Preferred). * Previous caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing (Preferred). * CPR and First Aid certification (Required, or willingness to obtain). * Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude. * Bilingual: English and Spanish (Required) Benefits * Career growth opportunities * Supportive work environment Job Type: Part-time Language: * English (Required) * Spanish (Required) Shift availability: * Weekend Night Shift (Required) Work Location: In person Pay: From $17.81 per hour Shift availability: * Night Shift (Required) Work Location: In person
