The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) works cooperatively with all team members in planning and performing basic care. The Certified Nurse Assistant supports patient care delivery and is responsible for adhering to all standards of care and for promoting teamwork among coworkers. Assists nursing staff to: a) implement teaching strategies; b) establish teaching plans designed to educate the patient in caring for self after discharge; c) evaluate the outcome of teaching plans developed for individual patients. Applies mobilization and immobilization devices according to physician order arm slings, corsets, finger splints, cervical collar, braces, prosthetics, shoulder immobilizer, clavicle brace, knee immobilizer or knee ranger, unitan sling, abduction pillow for hip or shoulder, CPM for knee or shoulder, hot ice machine, foot pumps and sequential stockings, miscellaneous orthotics. License / Certification Requirements BCLS or ACLS Certification Certified Nurse Attendant Compensation Range $24.00 - $30.84 / Hour
