Job Summary The Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who manages a specific clinical area with accountability for the delivery of quality care, patient safety and satisfaction, staff performance and education, while maintaining an orientation to fiscal management and sound business decisions. Pay Range Minimum $140,504 Midpoint $186,181 Maximum $231,837 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience * Required: Minimum one (1) year of experience managing the function in the healthcare industry. Four (4) years experience in clinical specialty. * Preferred: Over (4) years of experience managing the function in the healthcare industry. Education * Required: Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or BS/BA degree in a healthcare-related field. * Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing or related field from an accredited school. Training * Required: None required. Specialized Skills * Required: Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards and respect; advance care through the development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations. Demonstrated strength in building and articulating a vision and setting goals. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills to understand and anticipate the impact and opportunities across multiple critical projects. Ability to build and establish positive relationships with stakeholders and staff at all levels. Experience managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Experience presenting findings / recommendations to Executive level audiences. Intermediate or advanced computer, spreadsheet, & database skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Licensure * Required: Registered Nurse - CA (RN); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). * Preferred: Certified Parent Educator; National Nursing Certification. Work Environments - Functional Demand: Light - Moderate energy level Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).
