This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment committed to excellence in patient care. *Duties* * Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform personalized care plans. * Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and other advanced therapies such as botulinum toxin treatments. * Manage complex medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, venipuncture, and sterile dressing changes using aseptic techniques. * Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. * Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, traumatic injuries (Level I & II trauma centers), infectious diseases, and post-acute recovery needs. * Conduct patient triage in urgent care or emergency room settings, prioritizing care based on severity of symptoms and ensuring timely interventions. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and family education to promote optimal health outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings. *Experience* * Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospital medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric ICU), neonatal units with ventilator management, or emergency medicine. * Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-9/ICD-10). * Prior experience in long-term care facilities like nursing homes or assisted living communities with a focus on geriatrics and memory care. * Skilled in performing invasive procedures such as spinal taps or gastric lavage with strict adherence to infection control protocols. * Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology related to pain management, hospice care, occupational health, and specialty areas like ophthalmology or cardiology procedures such as cardiac catheterization. * Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays including behavioral health support and home & community-based care. * Ability to handle high-pressure situations involving trauma or acute illness while maintaining compassionate patient-centered care.
