Job Title: Medication Nurse (LVN) ? Los Angeles, CA ? Full-Time ? Competitive Pay + Benefits About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Medication Nurse (LVN) to support medication oversight and compliance within a residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment setting. This role is responsible for ensuring safe medication handling, accurate documentation, and coordination with clinical leadership. Key Responsibilities Oversee and observe self-administration of client medications in accordance with regulations Maintain and update medication inventory logs and administration records Ensure all medications are properly approved and documented Monitor clients’ medical conditions and report changes to leadership Communicate medication responses to physicians through the Social Services team Report client illnesses, injuries, and incidents promptly Complete daily medication audits and ensure compliance Document medication and care coordination notes in the EHR system Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Social Services team Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications ✔ Active LVN license in the State of California ✔ Minimum 2+ years of clinical nursing experience (SUD experience preferred) ✔ Experience working in a substance use disorder (SUD) facility required ✔ Strong knowledge of medication management and documentation ✔ Excellent organizational and time management skills ✔ Strong communication and teamwork abilities ✔ Computer proficiency, including Excel and EHR systems ✔ Typing speed of 40+ WPM preferred Education & Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Active CPR / First Aid Certification required Working Conditions Standing or sitting for extended periods (4–6+ hours) Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs Work in enclosed clinical environments May travel between locations within Los Angeles County Special Requirements Must be willing to undergo random drug screenings Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Lead Medication Nurse What’s Offered Competitive compensation Benefits package Opportunity to work in a mission-driven healthcare environment Growth and advancement opportunities
