Home Health Aide

Job Description

Job Summary The home health aide provides personal care and related services in the home that are allowed to be performed under state law. She/he functions under the direction, instruction and supervision of the staff nurse and the Director of Patient Care Services and/or appropriate supervisor. Qualifications Completion of the 9th grade; prefer high school diploma or GED Ability to read and write in English, consistent with job requirements Completion of a basic aide training program, a minimum 75 hours, consistent with state and federal requirements and for which a certificate was obtained The emotional and mental maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the patient, patient’s family, and the personnel of the Agency A reliable means of transportation to get to assigned patient visits Must have a criminal background check and current CPR certification Prefer 1 year experience as an Aide in a health related setting, preferably home health
