*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a safe and nurturing environment. The QIDP will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall quality of life for our clients. *Duties* * Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs and goals. * Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management. * Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate healthcare professionals. * Engage in behavior management strategies to support clients in achieving positive outcomes. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for individuals. * Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, behaviors, and any incidents that occur. * Provide training and support to caregivers and staff on best practices in caregiving and patient care. * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within assisted living environments. *Experience* * Previous experience in caregiving or home care settings is preferred. * Familiarity with systems related to intellectual disabilities, including behavior management techniques. * Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. * Experience working within assisted living facilities or similar environments is a plus. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members. * A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of intellectual disabilities is highly valued.
