Job Description

*Overview* We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings and possess the skills necessary to assist clients with daily living activities while ensuring their safety and comfort. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with special needs, such as developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer’s. *Duties* * Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. * Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health status. * Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. * Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization tasks. * Administer medications as per care plans and assist with medication management. * Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. * Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. * Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to healthcare professionals. * Uphold HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times. *Qualifications* * Registered with the CDSS as an HCA * Previous experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is preferred. * CPR certification is highly desirable. * Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs. * Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental disabilities. * Ability to provide compassionate care for seniors, including those requiring memory care or hospice support. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. * Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client assistance. * Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow specific instructions for patient care.
