We’re seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Charge Nurse to support residents at Pitzer Lodge and within our independent living community. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on clinical care, supervise aides, and help foster a warm, supportive environment where residents can maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life. What You’ll Do Provide direct nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living. Support residents’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Administer and document medications accurately and safely. Observe, assess, and report changes in condition; update care plans as needed. Respond promptly to resident needs, including through the computerized call light system. Complete incident reports and communicate effectively with the Director of Wellness/Clinical Services. Supervise and support Pitzer Aides, providing assignments and oversight. Ensure continuity of care through thorough, accurate shift reports. Monitor the building's safety and security, addressing hazards as needed. Assist in the dining room to ensure residents are present and supported during meals. Help maintain a homelike, welcoming atmosphere for residents, families, and guests. Position Details On-call position (no benefits). Flexible scheduling based on community needs. What You Bring Current, active California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license. Current First Aid certification. Experience in nursing supervision and/or geriatric nursing preferred.
