_SUD Health Med Tech - CNA, EMT, MA - Shift is Thursday 2:00pm-10:30pm, Friday-Monday 6:00am-2:30pm._ Northbound Treatment Services is a Detox and Residential substance abuse treatment facility that is *accredited by The Joint Commission*. The Behavioral Health Nurse provides care in a caring, safe and efficient manner according to program standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans. *Responsibilities*: * Assists with patient evaluation upon admission; communicates with the attending physician and follows Healthcare Provider’s orders. * Performs withdrawal and medication side effect assessments, vital signs, respiration rate assessments. * Assures medications are self-administered. * Follows detoxification and medication protocols, transcribes medication orders * Maintain safe resident living areas and support residents in recovery supportive environment * Collaborates with physicians, case managers and therapists *Requirements*: CA CNA or EMT License or Medical Assistant Certificate CPR and First Aid Certificates Valid California Class C Driver’s License *Competencies*: Knowledge - Basic ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities; knowledge of basic medical assisting skills; knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered; graduate of an accredited school of nursing or medical assisting or related field Basic Abilities - Ability to meet the physical and mental abilities of the job as outlined in the Job Description; must be able to speak read and write in English and be able to articulate clearly and audibly; ability to meet conditions of employment applicable to the center/campus.
