JOB DESCRIPTION – Caregiver Daytime Shifts (from 4 - 12 hours) Do you have a heart for the work and you're open to training? WE WANT YOU! * MUST HAVE A VEHICLE TO DRIVE CLIENTS WHILE ON ASSIGNMENT Home Instead® is an international leader in the senior care industry. We provide affordable non-medical solutions for individuals seeking help with everyday tasks that allow them to live independently wherever they call home. Clients receive one-on-one services performed by Care Professionals® (caregivers) who are screened, trained, bonded and insured. Primary Responsibilities: • Personal Care (including hygiene assistance) • Remain Awake to care for Client (overnights) • Alzheimer's and Dementia Support • Meal Preparation • Medication Reminders • Laundry • Light Housekeeping • Shopping and Errands • Ambulation Assistance • Respite Care Job Requirements: Reliability, excellent communication skills and compassion are a must. • Ability to commute to the South Bay or Marina del Rey areas • Previous experience preferred but not required • Complete all required training • ***Access to a vehicle you can drive while on assignment (valid CA Driver's License, current registration and your name must be listed on current insurance) • Register as a CA Home Care Aide (including criminal background clearance and TB test) • Pass drug tests • Ability to speak, read and write in English • A heart for caregiving, treating older adults with dignity and respect We Offer: • Paid training • Sick pay • 401(k) with company match after 6 months • Long term assignments • Flexible schedule (part-time, full-time, overnights, weekends, weekdays) • Mileage and phone reimbursement • 24-hour supportive work environment • This position pays $18.25 per hour Each Home Instead® owned and operated franchise of Home Instead, Inc., an Honor Company
