As a CNA, you will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that promotes comfort, safety, and well-being. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a positive environment for those in your care while advancing your skills in diverse clinical settings. *Duties* * Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance comfort and independence * Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems or EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems * Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff * Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations * Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health management * Utilize assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and perform catheter care with aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and infection control * Document patient observations accurately in medical records, noting changes in condition or behavior for ongoing assessment by healthcare providers * Support residents with meals and hydration * Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members *Requirements* * Valid Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an accredited program; current state licensure required * Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting is a plus * Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Point Click Care; proficiency in medical documentation and medical terminology * Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) procedures confidently; CPR certification preferred * Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience in dementia or memory care highly valued * Strong communication skills; compassionate caregiving attitude; ability to work effectively within a team Join us in delivering exceptional patient service through compassionate caregiving!
