Live-In Caregiver Needed for Active Stroke Survivor (Supportive Family Environment)

Job Description

We are looking for a *compassionate, dependable live-in caregiver* to support my mother, who experienced a stroke about a year ago. She is extremely motivated in her recovery and stays very active with therapy, exercise, and daily activities. We are hoping to find someone who enjoys encouraging others and helping people regain independence. For the past year, I have been her primary caregiver while also working in the healthcare field. As I transition back to working outside the home more regularly, we are looking for someone kind, patient, and reliable to help continue supporting her recovery and daily routine. Our goal is to find someone who will feel comfortable in our home and become a *trusted part of our care team*. Responsibilities * Assist with activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, light meal preparation) * Drive to therapy, medical appointments, and activities * Assist with mobility and exercise routines * Accompany and assist during gym sessions * Provide companionship and positive encouragement throughout the day * Help maintain a safe, supportive home environment Ideal Candidate * Previous caregiving experience preferred (stroke recovery or mobility assistance a plus) * Kind, patient, and dependable personality * Physically active and comfortable assisting with mobility and exercise * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record * Non-smoker preferred * Someone who enjoys staying active and engaging with others Living Arrangement & Schedule * *Live-in position* * Private room and living accommodations provided * Days off and schedule can be discussed during the interview * Long-term candidate preferred Compensation * *Competitive pay based on experience* * Housing included * Supportive and respectful family environment To Apply Please send a short message including: * A brief introduction about yourself * Your caregiving experience * Your availability for a live-in role * Any experience with stroke recovery or mobility support (if applicable) We are looking forward to finding someone compassionate and dependable who will help my mom continue making progress in her recovery.
