Job Description
Job Description: We are seeking a dependable and compassionate caregiver (Direct Support Professional) to work one-on-one with a young adult with autism. This is a part time position. The schedule will be determined collaboratively and will be ongoing on a weekly basis. There will be a guarantee of 10 hours a week. This role focuses on supporting community involvement and engagement, including accompanying them to volunteer opportunities, classes, and structured day programs. Responsibilities include: * Providing one-on-one support in community * Assisting with participation in volunteer work and programs * Encouraging social interaction and engagement * companionship in the home * assisting with ADL . * Supporting routines and transitions throughout the Requirements * Prior experience working with individuals with special needs (autism experience preferred) * Reliable, patient, and consistent demeanor * Strong English communication skills * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record * Ability to pass a background check * Ability to travel within the USA The ideal candidate is calm, dependable, and able to navigate occasional behavioral challenges with understanding and professionalism.
