This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to a compassionate and dynamic healthcare team. *Responsibilities* * Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. * Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. * Support medical procedures by preparing patients for exams or treatments, including catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques in sterile environments. * Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff, especially in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers. * Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support. * Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all medical records and documentation. * Assist with patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids while adhering to safety protocols. * Support discharge planning by educating patients and families on medication administration and home care procedures. * Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across inpatient, outpatient, or community-based settings to deliver comprehensive patient care. *Qualifications* * Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of employment. * Proven experience working with diverse populations including long-term care residents, behavioral health patients, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities. * Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for medical documentation. * Hands-on experience with critical care environments like ICU or trauma centers is highly desirable. * Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique. * Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and handle medical equipment like Hoyer lifts safely. * Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service and caregiving responsibilities.
