*Overview* We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and home care environments. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as Alzheimer's or memory care. The CNA will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all patients. *Responsibilities* * Provide direct patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts * Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation standards * Assist with medication administration under supervision and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations * Support patients with activities of daily living in various settings such as hospitals (ICU, trauma centers), nursing homes, outpatient clinics, and home care * Maintain infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment * Recognize and respond promptly to emergency situations in acute care or emergency medicine environments * Assist with specialized care needs including catheter care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, behavioral health management, and hospice support * Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care in settings like pediatrics, geriatrics, or behavioral health units * Ensure safety standards are met during patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids * Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while respecting confidentiality laws such as HIPAA *Skills* * Proven experience or familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred * Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques * Experience working in specialized environments such as ICU, Level I Trauma Center, Level II Trauma Center, or post-acute care settings is advantageous * Ability to handle sensitive situations involving patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities with compassion and professionalism * Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients of all ages—including children—and multidisciplinary teams * Competence in infection control practices including aseptic technique and infectious disease care protocols * Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and recognize abnormal findings requiring escalation * Experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Meditech or DME platforms is a plus * Demonstrated caregiving skills in home & community care settings or outpatient clinics is desirable This position offers an engaging environment where compassionate caregiving makes a meaningful difference.
