Summary: The Caring Connection is hiring for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN/LPN) to join our growing Home Health Agency. Working primarily in the private homes of our patients providing shift care, the LVN/LPN helps fulfill the care requirements of our patients under orders from their physician. Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Services or RN Case Manager, the successful LVN/LPN will be fully accountable for ensuring that the highest level of competent, compassionate care and safety is delivered to each home health patient. The LVN/LPN should be motivated and ambitious with previous home health experience. Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care as outlined in physician-directed Plan of Care Administer medications and document therapeutic effects Take vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration) Assist with patient comfort Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas Collect samples and monitor catheters Provide wound care Help educate family and Caregivers / Home Health Aides as necessary Complete and submit required documentation according to Agency policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Qualifications: Current California LVN/LPN License 1+ year(s) of nursing experience required (home health preferred) Pediatric care experience is a plus Vent/Trach certification a plus Bilingual Spanish is desirable Willingness to work evenings and weekends (variety of hours available) Available shifts include: Agoura Hills (Pediatric) - Pending opportunity for full-time hours to be determined Beverly Hills (Pediatric) - Two to Three Nights Per Week 7pm-7am (Multiple Openings) Canoga Park (Pediatric) - Saturday and Sunday 4 hour shifts available Hawthorne (Pediatric) - Sunday 8am-4pm OR 9am-5pm; Monday through Thursday 12pm-8pm (Alternating Sundays Possible) Lancaster (Adult) - Saturday 5am-1pm; Monday 3pm-10pm Pacoima (Pediatric) - Monday through Friday 7am-3pm OR 8am-4pm OR 9am-5pm (Flexible) Pacoima (Pediatric) - Tuesday OR Wednesday OR Friday 6pm-10pm; Sunday 11am-3pm Pacoima (Adult) - Monday through Friday 9:30am-2:30pm Playa Vista (Pediatric) - 21 hours per month to start moving to Full-Time Hours within 30 days of starting Porter Ranch (Pediatric) - Friday 6pm-11pm Reseda (Pediatric) - Monday through Friday 3pm-9pm; Saturday and Sunday 7:30am-3:30pm (Some Flexibility - Shorter Shifts Possible, Alternating Sundays Possible) Sun Valley (Pediatric) - Thursday and Friday 3pm-9pm and 10pm-6am; Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm OR 8am-4pm (Alternating Sundays Possible) Winnetka (Pediatric) - Wednesday Nights 4-5 hours; Friday or Saturday Nights 4-5 hours
