Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - HHH

Job Description

Location: HHH - Northridge: NORTHRIDGE, CA P/T Weekend The LVN will be the nurse onsite to manage client charts and intakes. About the facility Our facility can hold up to 60 patients Interim housing for people with substance abuse, mental health and recently incarcerated men and women Responsibilities include but not limited to: Provides Nursing Care to all patients Identifies self as nurse responsible for patient care to patients/clients Provides nursing care for all patients within scope of LVN practice Gathers data relevant to the patient’s individual needs and age group Elicits important information concerning the patient’s progress Gathers data regarding patient needs while providing direct patient care Documents nursing observations according to nursing standards Medication observation environment Reports symptoms, reactions and progress of patient to the clinical supervisor and/or Nurse Practioner Pursues proper chain of command to attain a satisfactory solution Initiates changes to improve patient care; discusses changes with doctor when appropriate Responsible for knowledge of legal aspects of nursing Attends fire and safety classes annually and maintains a current CPR (BLS) card
