*Job Summary* We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Aides to provide high-quality care and support to residents in a long-term care or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will assist residents with daily activities, ensure their safety, and promote a comfortable, respectful atmosphere. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, fostering independence, and maintaining dignity. *Duties* * Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature * Provide personal care and support for residents with dementia or memory care needs, including Alzheimer's care * Support residents with behavioral management strategies and emotional well-being * Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist residents during mealtimes * Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas to promote a safe environment * Assist with transportation or driving duties as needed for appointments or outings * Document care provided thoroughly and communicate effectively with healthcare teams *Skills* * Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living, or home & community care preferred * Knowledge of Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, and behavioral management techniques * Ability to perform first aid and respond appropriately in emergency situations * Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring * Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general * Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach toward residents’ needs * Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes * Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, and families * Physical ability to assist with mobility support using Hoyer lifts or other equipment; capable of working on feet for extended periods * Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation duties This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while working in a supportive team environment.
