*Job Overview* We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Givers to join our team at a licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). In this role, you will provide essential support and personalized care to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, assisted living, or home & community care environments, with a strong commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life through attentive caregiving. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. *Duties* * Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support * Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols * Monitor vital signs and observe residents for any changes in health or behavior * Provide Alzheimer's and dementia care with patience and understanding * Support residents with memory care needs through personalized engagement and activities * Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences * Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping and sanitation tasks * Document resident care activities accurately using EMR systems or paper records * Support residents during outings or appointments by providing transportation as needed * Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and reduce agitation *Qualifications* * Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred * Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and memory care best practices * Certification in First Aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire * Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is a plus * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a caregiving environment * Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members * Valid driver’s license for resident outings or transportation duties preferred * Familiarity with EMR systems is advantageous * Physical ability to assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids * Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents’ quality of life This role is vital in providing compassionate, respectful, and professional care to our residents.
