AL/MC Caregiver JOB DESCRIPTION As a Caregiver, which also includes Seasons Memory Care and Assisted Living, you are a vital steward of our promise to deliver exceptional, person-centered care in an elegant, active adult living environment. Key Responsibilities In accordance with California Title 22 (RCFE) regulations and community standards, the Caregiver will: Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and continence care, while honoring resident preferences, privacy, and dignity. Support residents with mobility, ambulation, positioning, and transfers, including the safe use of walkers, wheelchairs, gait belts, and approved lifting techniques. Assist with mealtime service, including meal delivery, set-up, cueing, and feeding as permitted, ensuring a gracious and enjoyable dining experience. Respond promptly and professionally to call systems, alerts, and resident requests to ensure safety, comfort, and peace of mind. Observe, document, and immediately report any changes in residents’ physical condition, cognitive status, or emotional wellbeing to appropriate licensed or supervisory staff, in compliance with Title 22 reporting requirements. Provide light housekeeping services related to resident care, such as laundry, bed making, and tidying living spaces, to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Encourage residents, as appropriate, to participate in maintaining their personal living spaces to support independence and safety. Offer warm companionship, engaging residents in conversation, recreational programming, and social activities that enrich daily life. Promote participation in community life and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere. Adhere to all community policies, infection control practices, resident rights, and confidentiality standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, or a related setting preferred; training provided for qualified candidates. Ability to safely use mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and basic household appliances. Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire, as required by Title 22). Basic computer skills, including email and electronic documentation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented, compassionate, and team-focused approach. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with all regulatory requirements.
