In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, promote independence, and ensure a safe, respectful environment for residents across various care settings. Your energy and commitment will help foster a nurturing atmosphere that empowers individuals to thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. *Responsibilities* * Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary * Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals * Administer medications following prescribed care plans while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality * Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents’ specific needs, ensuring cleanliness and safety in the kitchen area * Support residents during activities and social events to promote engagement and community involvement * Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols * Document care activities accurately in resident records and assist with updating individualized care plans as needed *Qualifications* * Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred * Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is essential * Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required or must be obtained upon hire * Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), or hospice care is advantageous * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when necessary * Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers * A caring attitude combined with patience, flexibility, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered support Join us in creating a positive impact through compassionate caregiving!
