Lead Caregiver

Job Description

*Overview* We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Caregiver to support daily operations, guide caregiving staff, and ensure exceptional care for our residents. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of elderly care in a residential setting. The Lead Caregiver will act as a point of contact during shifts, ensure compliance with care plans and regulations, and uphold the highest standard of care. *Duties* * Lead and support caregivers during assigned shifts * Ensure all resident needs are met with dignity and respect * Oversee and assist with ADLs (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, feeding) * Monitor and document resident conditions, changes, and incidents * Ensure proper medication assistance and documentation per RCFE guidelines * Conduct and oversee shift handoffs/reporting * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment * Ensure infection control practices and safety protocols are followed * Communicate effectively with management, families, and healthcare providers * Assist with training and mentoring new caregivers * Ensure meals are appropriate for residents’ dietary needs (including modified diets) * Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents Qualifications * Previous experience in caregiving (RCFE preferred) minimum 2 years * Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred * Knowledge of Title 22 regulations * CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) * Medication training (or willingness to complete certification) * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Compassionate, patient, and dependable * Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements * Ability to assist residents with mobility and transfers * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs Why Join Us?
