*Overview* Join our dedicated team at OI Home Care as an Experienced Caregiver / Home Care Aide (HCA Required), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in their homes and community settings. Your energy, empathy, and expertise will help promote independence, safety, and well-being for our clients every day. This position offers flexible scheduling based on client needs. Caregivers are matched with cases based on availability, experience, and location. While we aim to provide consistent hours, schedules may vary and are not guaranteed full-time. Opportunities include part-time, full-time, and per diem assignments depending on current client demand. * Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to support their comfort and dignity * Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals * Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance * Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary * Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to facilitate safe transfers and prevent injury * Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces * Support clients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s/dementia care, or hospice care while respecting their preferences and routines *Skills* * Proven experience in home health, long-term care, assisted living, or group home settings with a focus on senior or disability care * Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration * Skilled in assisting with ADLs and implementing individualized care plans effectively * Strong understanding of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient safety protocols, including CPR and first aid certification * Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s or dementia * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when required * Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents’ families, and social workers while maintaining HIPAA compliance This role is ideal for compassionate professionals eager to deliver high-quality caregiving services that enhance quality of life.
