*Job description:* Seeking *Registered Nurse (RN) in our Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at Reseda, CA*. We are seeking strong and competent RNs to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients aged 60+ in a short-term, 10-bed acute psychiatric setting. You will work alongside 2–3 RNs per shift and must be prepared to manage both psychiatric and medical conditions in an elderly population. *Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Geriatric Psychiatry (Per Diem, Rotating Shifts)* *Location:* Reseda, California *Job Type:* Per Diem (Deferred Schedule) *Contract Duration:* Long Term Department: Geriatric Psychiatry Unit *Shift Details* * *Rotating Shifts (Day & Night):* * Day: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM * Night: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM * *Schedule Type:* Deferred *Qualifications:* Active California RN license Min 2 years acute RN experience with some psych background Experience in geriatric psych and/or acute medical units strongly preferred Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required Must complete California fingerprinting and obtain an LA City Fire Card prior to start *Responsibilities* * Deliver high-quality nursing care in a *geriatric psychiatric setting* * Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams * Maintain patient safety and therapeutic environment * Manage acute psychiatric and medical needs of elderly patients *Compensation & Benefits:* Overtime Pay: Daily OT #1 after 8 hours Daily OT #2 after 12 hours Pay: $54.00 - $57.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Vision insurance Experience: * Acute care: 2 years (Preferred) * Psychiatry: 1 year (Preferred) * Geriatrics: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: * BLS Certification (Preferred) * CPI Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
