DOORWAYS is a nationally-known interfaith non-profit that empowers clients to overcome poverty, HIV, and homelessness by providing numerous supportive services that improve Housing, Health and Hope. As a bi-state agency with broad impact, DOORWAYS assists nearly 3,500 clients annually and has recently opened an innovative 3-acre $40M Jefferson Ave. Campus. The ideal C.N.A (Certified Nurse Aid) will have excellent customer service experience, perform routine duties, follow through with the therapy program to aid in the patient's return to a maximum level of independent functioning, and provide basic nursing care to patients under general supervision of a licensed nurse. The candidate must be organized, flexible, have great attention to detail, and be highly capable of meeting expectations. Administrative functions include conducting planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluation of Cooper House, reviewing policies and procedures, strengthening focus on person-centered care, and working with quality improvement teams. Personnel functions involve developing excellent working relationships among departments and creating a warm, positive atmosphere. Staff development includes working with HR on orientation programs and continuing education. Safety and sanitation responsibilities include monitoring safety regulations, ensuring fire safety drills, and reporting incidents. Budget and planning functions involve assisting in budget development and maintaining equipment and supply needs. The candidate must have a valid Missouri C.N.A. license, valid first-aid and CPR license, and preferred experience in a health care environment of at least six months.
