Job Description

RN Supervisor (Registered Nurse) is a licensed professional nurse directly under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services. The RN Supervisor (Registered Nurse) is to assist the planning, organizing, developing and directing of nursing service to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. General duties and responsibilities include assuring residents have a clean, safe, orderly environment, initiating resident Plans of Care on admission, ensuring notification to physicians and legal guardians of critical changes, reviewing complaints and grievances, evaluating emergencies, maintaining unit cleanliness and safety, monitoring intravenous medication, assisting with admissions and discharges, completing assessments, charting nurse's notes, attending staff meetings, making resident rounds to ensure appropriate care, supervising nursing personnel, and maintaining professional image while protecting resident rights.
