Job Description

A skilled nursing facility that provides routine daily nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, with services including assessment and development of resident care plans, vital sign monitoring, wound dressing, medication administration, admissions assistance, physician rounds, IV insertion, lab sample collection, and fall risk monitoring, operating under comprehensive facility policies and infection control protocols. The purpose of your job position is to provide each resident with routine daily nursing care in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility and as directed by your supervisors. Essential duties include assessment and development of resident care plans, ensuring privacy in nursing care, checking vital signs, dressing wounds, passing out medications, assisting with admissions, making rounds with physicians, starting IVs, listening to residents and families, addressing their questions and concerns, performing detailed charting, providing assistance to LVNs and CNAs, ensuring equipment is in good operating order, monitoring residents at risk for falls, collecting lab samples, abiding by facility policies and procedures, following infection control policies, reporting occupational exposures, attending training programs, and completing other assignments as requested by management.
