A skilled nursing facility that supervises day-to-day activities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, admits and discharges residents, maintains resident care plans, ensures clean and safe care rooms, manages medicine supply, monitors nursing staff compliance, enforces hygiene procedures, administers medications, conducts fire safety drills, and requires staff to follow established facility policies and infection control procedures. The purpose of your job position is to supervise the day-to-day activities of the facility during your shift in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility and as directed by your management. Essential duties include admitting, transferring and discharging residents; assessment and development of resident care plans; ensuring that all resident care rooms and treatment areas are clean and safe; maintaining medicine supply room well stocked; monitoring nursing staff to ensure they are complying with resident's care plan; checking that staff wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies when providing resident care; ensuring that nursing staff follow established hand washing and hygiene procedures; passing out medications when needed; making rounds with physicians as requested; abiding with all facility policies and procedures; following Infection and Control policies; conducting fire safety and disaster preparedness drills as required; completing accidents/incident reports as required; attending meetings and serving on committees; and complying with annual facility in-service training programs.
