An assisted living community or skilled nursing facility that operates a Wellness Department with a focus on elderly resident care, medication administration, health monitoring, wellness programs, and comprehensive health services including emergency protocols, staff scheduling, and interdisciplinary healthcare coordination. The LVN will report to the Wellness Director and will assist by helping manage the Wellness Department and prioritizing resident health, including but not limited to overseeing medication administration and record keeping, scheduling staff, developing daily tasks, initiating, and maintaining emergency packets, and will ensure the organization of resident charts. Essential duties include monitoring medication administration, recording significant health changes, updating medical charts, scheduling Personal Care Assistants, ensuring medical supplies are in stock, following up on vital signs, acting as point of contact for shift communication, and maintaining health equipment for safety and proper function.
