Job Description

A long-term care facility providing nursing and patient care services, with responsibilities including orientation and in-service education for employees, resident care management, infection control, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Provides, plans coordinates or manages orientation and in-service education for facility employees. Responsible for facility education programs, including orientation and ongoing services. Designs, plans and provides education programs on all shifts and for all departments. Participate in staff evaluation process by providing attendance records and observation of employees' performance. Provide general facility information to all new employees and ongoing in-service education. Maintains currently education records of classes and content of in-service conducted, attendance and performance of facility employees. Plans and provides annual schedule of planed education programs. Creates lesson plans containing objectives, course content, method of instruction and method of evaluation. Applies adult learning principles. If provided by the facility, conducts and maintains the nurse aide training program. In charge of the facility in absence of high ranking management.
