The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is primarily responsible for providing direct, quality clinical care and the supervision of nursing assistants working with residents assigned to each unit. Key responsibilities include visiting residents on assigned units daily to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status, identifying resident problems and emergency situations, providing holistic care within the scope of LPN license, assisting in monitoring inventory of medications and medical supplies, performing administrative duties such as completing medical forms and charting, and reporting occupational exposures according to facility policies.
