A healthcare facility that provides nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, requiring Licensed Vocational Nurses to deliver routine daily nursing care, perform medical procedures, monitor resident safety, and maintain facility policies and infection control protocols. The purpose of your job position is to provide each resident with routine daily nursing care in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility and as directed by your supervisors. The Licensed Vocational Nurse will treat each resident with kindness, dignity and respect, maintain a positive and calm disposition, communicate clearly and empathetically, make sound independent decisions, work cooperatively with all departments, and demonstrate patience and willingness to assist residents. Essential duties include checking vital signs, dressing wounds, inserting catheters, performing charting of resident progress notes, timely reporting of changes in resident condition, assisting and supervising CNAs, monitoring residents at risk for falls, collecting lab samples, following facility policies and infection control procedures, and attending required training programs.
