The position provides direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including lifting, turning, positioning, transporting, bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, answering call lights, and providing restorative care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining resident room cleanliness, engaging residents in activities, communicating professionally with residents and staff, assisting nurses with tasks such as measuring vitals and documentation, adhering to resident rights and safety policies, using protective equipment and infection control protocols, and performing food service functions including meal preparation and assistance.
