We are owned and operated by National Church Residences, the nation's largest provider of affordable senior housing and health care services. The purpose of this position is to provide direct care to the residents, assumes the responsibility for assisting the residents with the numerous activities of daily living while encouraging and guiding them to maintain or reach the highest level of function in accordance with facility policies and procedures and report the needs and concerns to the supervisor on duty. Essential functions include performing and assisting with resident direct care needs including lifting, turning, positioning, transporting, bathing, dressing, oral hygiene and grooming; answering call lights; providing restorative care; maintaining cleanliness of resident rooms; communicating professionally with residents and staff; assisting nurses with tasks such as measuring vitals and recording documentation; adhering to resident rights guidelines; documenting resident information in electronic medical records; following safety and compliance policies; practicing universal precautions; and performing food service functions including preparing residents for meals and assisting with eating.
