Infection Preventionist Nurse - (IP Nurse)

Job Description

We are a skilled nursing facility looking for dynamic associates to join our clinical team and provide our residents with a best-in-class care experience! The IP Nurse is responsible for the implementation of the Infection Control program of the facility including antibiotic stewardship program. Employee will also be responsible in keeping facility staff and residents compliant with immunization program as required by Title 22 regulations and CDPH directives. Primary responsibilities include participating in the Antibiotic stewardship program, reviewing and monitoring antibiotic usage patterns, maintaining infection logs, coordinating with pharmacy consultants, reviewing antibiotic orders, performing daily rounds to assess infection control issues, conducting staff training, performing hand hygiene observations, acting as Infection Control supervisor, investigating outbreaks, managing employee and resident exposures, conducting resident TB screening, directing immunization programs, performing surveillance of infections, maintaining tracking logs for MDRO infections, attending quarterly QA meetings, and assisting in education programs for clinical staff, residents and families.
